Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra spoke about the failure of her film ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu.’
The movie also starred Ayushmann Khurrana.
It had released in 2017 alongside SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali 2.’
Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra, who is reportedly set to get married in the coming days, recently opened up about the failure of her movie Meri Pyaari Bindu (2017).
PARINEETI CHOPRA ON THE FAILURE OF MERI PYAARI BINDU
Speaking to Radio Nasha, the actor mentioned that this largely happened as the film was released alongside SS Rajamouli’s epic Baahubali 2, starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati.
Parineeti also mentioned how she feels Meri Pyaari Bindu was deserving of more box office love and said, “Meri Pyaari Bindu released alongside Baahubali and hence did not get love then. But that’s the film that I get the most love for today. And that’s what matters. There are many films like this that don’t make the numbers at that time, but they always find you.”
ON PLAYING A ‘SMALL-TOWN GIRL’
During the same conversation, Parineeti also spoke about how she felt she had so convincingly portrayed the ‘small-town girl’ that she was asked in her interviews at the time about whether she spoke English.
“It’s crazy. After I did some small-town role, people started coming up to me and saying ‘Oh, you speak English? You know how to speak English?’ I felt that was bizarre. How would you assume that I don’t speak English?” the actor stated.
On the work front, Parineeti will next be seen in Mission Raniganj alongside Akshay Kumar. She also has Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila in the pipeline, where she will share screen space with Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh.
