Actress Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan were previously engaged to each other.
However, the couple ended their relationship while filming the 2002 movie ‘Haa Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya.’
Now director Dharmesh Darshan has opened up about the movie and its making.
Director Dharmesh Darshan recently shared his experience of making Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor’s last film together — Haa Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya.
While speaking with Lehren Retro, Darshan recalled that Karisma looked ‘distracted’ during the filming as she and Abhishek had recently parted ways. The two were previously engaged to be married.
The director also said that it was a mistake to make the film, although Jaya Bachchan did like the movie, unlike Amitabh Bachchan, who had expressed his disapproval regarding the film and had called it ‘old-fashioned.’
“Karishma was distracted, naturally, with the marriage thing It showed in the film. I’m not a psychiatrist, I can’t interfere in their relationship. And I was hearing both sides, I’ll be honest with you. And I’m watching,” he added.
DHARMESH DARSHAN ON BIG B’S NEGATIVE COMMENT ON THE FILM
Recalling Big B’s negative comments about the film, the filmmaker shared, “Yes, he said that (called it old-fashioned). But Jaya ji loved the film, oddly. She loved the aggression of the girl, who says you had a one-night stand, I’m divorcing you. She loved that.”
Abhishek is married to Aishwarya Rai, and shares a daughter, Aaradhya, with her. The two had gotten married in 2007. Karisma, on the other hand, married businessman Sunjay Kapur. The two parted ways in 2014.
